Prayer and Reflection Club

As part of our continued commitment to aid the development of the social, moral, spiritual and cultural development of our pupils, parents and members of the school community, we have a fortnightly prayer and reflection club.

The club is open to pupils, parents, siblings and other family members who would like to participate in a 20 minute prayer session to prepare them for the day ahead. The club takes place every other Thursday at 8.30am lasting for 20 minutes.

Mrs Olivia Bull, a parent from Mursley CE School, who has links and works closely with St Swithun’s Church, leads the club and provides an opportunity for individuals to take part in creative prayer or quiet reflection to consider and express their concerns, thoughts, and emotions in a safe environment. There is no expectation for people to share their prayers, but we are hoping that members of the club will be able to listen to, learn and experience a new prayer styles and 'breathing prayer' techniques to learn to breathe slowly and listen to our bodies, both of which can be used as part of daily routines.

Hopefully, the club will help us all feel relaxed, calm and prepared for the day ahead.

The club is completely free and for those who attend coffee, tea, juice and biscuits will be available before they go to lessons or work!
