STAFF

Kingfisher’s Preschool staff are all qualified and continue to develop their knowledge by attending regular courses throughout the year. Let me introduce them to you:

Kelly Hall - Preschool Leader

Kelly has 18 years experience working in Childcare and Education in a range of positions. She has worked in nurseries, as a child-minder and as a post 16 lecturer in Childcare and Education at Milton Keynes College. She is currently completing her final year of an Applied Early Years Degree and I am also training to be a qualified Early Years Teacher. Kelly loves her role as Kingfishers Preschool leader and being part of the Three Schools.

Sam Knaves - Acting Deputy Preschool Leader

Sam started with us at Kingfishers in May 2011. Her children have attended our schools and Sam is therefore familiar with the Three Schools and Preschool ethos. She brings with her an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Learning and Development and continues to provide a caring and nurturing role to the children at our preschool.

Kathryn Gibbard - Deputy Preschool Leader (Currently on Maternity Leave)

Kathryn began working for Kingfishers Preschool in April 2013 and is a valued member,of staff. She started as a preschool assistant and is now our Deputy Leader. Before joining us, she worked at various preschools, day nurseries and afterschool clubs. Kathryn holds a NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. She also works at our wraparound club at Drayton Parslow School.

Ruth Austin - Preschool Assistant

Ruth has been with Kingfishers Preschool since October 2013. Ruth   previously worked at Drayton Parslow Preschool and prior to that she was a parent helper in early years education. Like Sam Knaves, Ruth’s children have been educated in the Three Schools since 2005 and therefore have a long standing relationship with our schools. Ruth also currently mentors teenage girls through ‘Woman Can Do’ Ruth currently holds NVQ Level 2 and is looking forward to undertaking her Level 3 qualification.

Anne Cotton - Preschool Assistant

Anne started with us at Kingfishers in May 2017. Her children have and still attend our schools and Anne is therefore familiar with the Three Schools and Preschool ethos. She brings with her a National Diploma Caring (Nursery Nurse) and Paediatric 1st Aid. She has been a live in nanny and registered Childminder before joining Kingfishers.
