About the Class - Year 6
Welcome to Year 6 where we like to learn and work hard whilst having fun in process! Mrs Featherston is the substantive Year 6 teacher and Mrs Morris, who is the teaching assistant.
In Year 6 at Swanbourne, you get many privileges such as a week's residential trip during the summer term and getting to sit on chairs in Collective Worship. We are also given the opportunity to take on many roles and responsibilities in the school. These include: librarians, House Captains, Sports Captains, Playground leaders and Subject Ambassadors. We also enjoy the role of serving the hot chocolate and milkshakes on a Friday. On Open Days, we show parents around and explain to them all the things that go on in our school.
We have to work very hard in Year 6 as we will be taking our SATs tests in May, as well as getting ready to move on to Secondary School . However, we are rewarded for all our hard work and helping around the school with certificates in assemblies and house-points. We enjoy collecting house-points as we are looking forward to our Housepoints Fun day!
Not only do we work incredibly hard, but we also have lots of fun, including a Leavers' day out and a Leavers' service at the end of the year - not forgetting the Year 6 production!
These are just some of the reasons why we are left with such happy memories of Year 6 and our time at Swanbourne School.
